If you are interested in canoeing you may want to learn more about Stonehaven Canoe Club.

Members of Stonehaven Canoe Club, are actively involved in river and sea kayaking and open canoeing.  From the middle of January until the end of April they run pool sessions for members

From the end of April to mid September they normally train from Stonehaven harbour. 

The club meets at Stonehaven Canoe Club boat shed, along Shorehead at Stonehaven Harbour

Sea kayaking - the NE Scottish coastline, particularly near Stonehaven is an excellent place to sea kayak.

Over the summer (From May to September) they run Monday night sea trips from Stonehaven. It is advisable to arrive prompt at 6pm in order to get fitted out with a boat etc

River kayaking - usually takes place predominantly on the rivers throughout NE Scotland, and occasionally further afield.

Surf kayakers - can take advantage of the sandy beaches and good surf waves at Stonehaven beach and other sandy beaches of NE Scotland.
